Found lurking in my drawer the other day my old trusty Airbrush, a DeVilbiss Super 62 no less. Saved up for ages to get it as up to then used to use stencils and car spray (yes even before Banksy :-)).

(Above) My first ever attempt at making an airbrush image was in 1981 at Bristol art college, and was of Louis Johnson the bass playerin the Brothers Johnson. I used car spray for the background and then Airbrushed him on top. Took ages but as you can see I was pleased with my attempt. I did go on to use airbrush in my professional career for photo re-touching and illustration, but when digital came along it just stopped getting used and ended up in my 'Old Graphics stuff' drawer, a symbol of all the hand skills acquired and then made redundant by digital.
